Funded Kindergarten Program

Play-based learning is full of benefits for your child’s development. A quality educational program sets the foundation for key life skills, including early literacy, language skills, social and emotional skills and creative thinking.   

Our funded three and four-year-old kinder programs are led by fully qualified Early Childhood Teachers, exposing children to meaningful learning experiences, including science discovery, numeracy, literacy and much more. 

We prioritise relationships, open-ended experiences, and intentional teaching through play.

Kindergarten Funding

We are proud to have the Kinder Tick of Approval from the Victorian Government. 

This means: 

  • Qualified Early Childhood Teachers lead our kindergarten programs
  • Families can access two years of funded 3 and 4-year-old kindergarten
  • Our programs comply with government guidelines and the National Quality Framework. 

The government has recognised our service as ‘Exceeding’ the National Quality Standards.

Your Kinder Fees

We deduct kinder funding from your account, saving you $2,050 per year. Kinder funding is in addition to the Child Care Subsidy from Centrelink. 

For most families, this ensures free or low-cost kinder.

Long Day Care vs Sessional Kinder

Eastwood Early Learning Centre and Kindergarten is a long day care service. This enables us to support working families and the community throughout the year.

Long Day Care

  • Open from 6.45am to 6pm
  • Operates during school holidays, only closing for 1 week between Christmas and New Year

Sessional Kinder

  • Open for shorter sessions, for example between 8.45am to 4.15pm. 
  • Closes during school holidays
